AI assistants piloted at a Tangier freight forwarder, connected to their ERP
Sea Cargo Logistics is a freight forwarder established in Tangier since 2015, operating out of Tanger Med with a branch in Casablanca. The work consists of tracking shipment files whose information arrives by email, as attachments, and is then re-keyed into the ERP, so the same piece of data lives in three places. We put in place a pilot that reads this material as it arrives and keeps an up-to-date view of it.
The information in a shipment file exists, but it is scattered across a mailbox, attachments and the ERP, so nobody has the full picture without reconstructing the thread by hand. A pilot therefore had to meet two requirements that sit awkwardly together: read the company's real material in production, and never act alone on a file. Every proposal had to remain subject to human approval.

How we removed the friction.
We deployed continuous reading of the relevant mailboxes, strictly read-only since the pilot was never to write anything on the client side, feeding a per-thread summary and operation cards gathering the parties and milestones of each file. An adapter connects everything to the existing ERP. Teams find it all in a tracking interface, with an approval queue, incoming-mail triage and a morning briefing. Nothing is sent or changed without approval.
