01 — Context
Expat Watan is a platform dedicated to Moroccans living abroad (MRE), offering a digital bridge to their homeland: news, administrative services, real estate investment, and community networking. The founder had an ambitious vision but no technical means to bring it to life. Claro Digi designed and developed a custom platform addressing the specific needs of the Moroccan diaspora.
02 — Problem
Moroccans abroad face fragmented information: administrative procedures, investment opportunities, local news — all scattered across disconnected sources. No platform centralized these resources or created a dedicated community space. The challenge: build a reliable digital hub, organized by topic, capable of engaging a community of several million MRE spread across the globe.
03 — Our approach
Claro Digi developed a platform structured around key expatriate needs: a news section with editorial content, consular administrative procedures guide, service directory, real estate investment section in Morocco, and community space. The interface is bilingual French/Arabic and responsive with mobile-first design — most MRE access content from their smartphones. A smart categorization system facilitates topic-based navigation.
